Training Calendar

It’s the mission of The Early Years Institute to be a catalyst for new ideas, partnerships and resources that ensure all children have what they need to succeed. From health and safety to enriched learning to connecting children with nature, EYI and its partners provide early care training programs for parents and professionals throughout Long Island.

EYI's Professional Development Workshops are designed for directors of early childhood programs including child care, family child care, nursery schools, Head Start, and Pre-K as well as early childhood teachers, trainers and curriculum designers. The sessions can be tailored for parents and other interested groups.

In addition, EYI’s LINCK offers training sessions for educators, parents and caregivers and others interested in connecting children with nature. LINCK offers training sessions at locations throughout Long Island for educators, parents and caregivers, and others interested in connecting children with nature. LINCK can also send trainers to your site to conduct workshops on outdoor learning. These workshops guide participants through ways to connect children with nature inside and outside -- at home, in child care settings and in schools. Training curricula are audience specific and can be tailored to meet your needs. Click here to find out more.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
