The Early Years Institute Advisory Committee is comprised of 63 community, business and government agencies. This Committee offers professional guidance and expertise to EYI and helps create a learning community as they reflect on state and national trends that affect children at the local level. The Advisory Committee has helped EYI:
- Improve early learning opportunities in communities across Long Island, with a special focus on high-needs communities.
- Create groundbreaking research on how well Long Island, as a region, is meeting the needs of young children.
- Bring together different community stakeholders to build on the richness of existing organizations and increase awareness about the importance of the early years.
- Increase investments in young children and their families.
