Laura Finkelstein, Intern

As a child Laura always had dreams of being a clown and had plans on going to clown college, and living out the rest of her days with the circus. All through preschool she would perform her clown routines for her family and class. Now without a white painted face and a red pom-pom nose, Laura is a junior at Hofstra University. She is a Mass Media Studies major, minoring in Radio/Television/Film and Jewish Studies. Laura became president of Hofstra Hillel at the end of her freshman year and is a founding member and secretary of Hofstra’s community service club, Helping Hands. Before attending Hofstra, Laura lived in the large Philadelphia suburb of Cherry Hill, New Jersey with her parents and two older sisters.
Laura is EYI's public relations intern, working on getting the message of The Early Years Institute out into the media.
Laura’s favorite movies include: Up, The Shawshank Redemption and anything Scorsese. She enjoys swimming and just became a certified lifeguard. Laura is an avid theatre-goer and lives for the Tony Awards. Laura is, above all, an addict of television's Friends, and has yet to find a fellow Friends lover who can beat her in a Friends trivia contest.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
