Although her taste in music leans toward classical piano or country, Peggy Falconer's childhood theme song might as well be Aerosmith's "Pink". She grew up in Port Washington, N.Y. in a pink house and her family owned a pink station wagon – her father's proud tribute to Peggy and her six (6!) sisters.
Peggy truly runs the office on many levels at EYI and has plenty of administrative and entrepreneurial experience to back it up. She was owner and manager of a flower shop in her hometown for 25 years, and later held sales and customer service positions with Re/MAX of NY and Tiffany and Company. She committed herself to countless community boards focusing on children, including a decade with the Port Washington Schools Parent-Teacher Association where she served as president. Peggy was also a board member and former president of the Parent Resource Center, and a board member of Child Abuse Prevention Services.
Handy with power tools (she built her own deck), Peggy holds an Associate's Degree in hotel restaurant management from SUNY Delhi and a Bachelor's Degree in business administration from New York Institute of Technology. She counts tennis, hiking, kayaking, sewing and kickboxing among her hobbies, and cites "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Pretty Woman" as her favorite TV show and movie.
Much like her father, Peggy has deep pride in her own children who are pursuing their passions. Her son is a Baltimore, Maryland firefighter, and her daughter is studying equine science.
