Bailey Arboretum Children’s Habitat
Bailey Arboretum Admission: Free Bailey Arboretum’s gardens, woods and ponds cover 43 acres. Their Children’s Habitat includes areas for building, digging, performing (platforms and musical instruments), and exploring nature. They welcome picnickers, sponsor a variety of special events included guided woodland walks, and have well-marked trails complete with suggestions for family and school/scout activities. Classroom space and bathrooms are fully accessible and there is ample off-street parking. Bailey Arboretum can help you plan a specific program, staff a trail walk, cater a special event -- or just leave you on your own to explore. Their rules are simple: don’t hurt living things. You are welcome to collect leaves, build fairy houses, walk dogs, and stray from the beaten paths. Notes:
