Bailey Arboretum’s gardens, woods and ponds cover 43 acres. Their Children’s Habitat includes areas for building, digging, performing (platforms and musical instruments), and exploring nature. They welcome picnickers, sponsor a variety of special events included guided woodland walks, and have well-marked trails complete with suggestions for family and school/scout activities. Classroom space and bathrooms are fully accessible and there is ample off-street parking.

Bailey Arboretum can help you plan a specific program, staff a trail walk, cater a special event -- or just leave you on your own to explore. Their rules are simple: don’t hurt living things. You are welcome to collect leaves, build fairy houses, walk dogs, and stray from the beaten paths.

Notes:

  • If you are bringing a group, Bailey Arboretum would very much like to know when you are coming so they can collaborate with you to ensure you have a wonderful time.
  • Bailey Arboretum’s historic house is available for rent. It is perfect for small weddings, special birthdays, business retreats, and celebrations of all sorts.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
