The CA Montessori Children’s Center Natural Outdoor Classroom, formerly a paved parking lot, has been transformed into a green space over four acres large. CA Recycled 2,100 tons of asphalt into RCA, which was re-reused on Long Island roadways. Local sod was used to transform the space into an outdoor learning environment. The space is used by both the CA Montessori Children’s Center which serves children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age, and the CA Academy which serves children ages 6-12 years. The Center is licensed through NYS Office of Children and Family Services. The CA Academy is licensed through the Department of Health.

The space includes a nature walk trail through the woods, open fields, labyrinth, fairy village, trickling stream, hammocks, rock wall and a variety of gardens.

 Notes: If you would like to see the CA Natural Outdoor Classroom for the purpose of planning your own, you must set up an appointment with one of the contact people ahead of time.
